And I agree that this is probably the most appropriate cover given the book's genre (urban fantasy, if you didn't know!)
Also, few people went above and beyond and offered even better suggestions:
--the bird needs to be more obviously a crow (no, seagulls/ducks here, folks!)
--the title should be bigger
--my name bolder
And I agree with these suggestions.
The bigger title success is obviously working for writers like James Patterson:
Look how much of the cover it takes up! And it is quite catchy, I admit. As is this one:
So we will have to play with the space we have and see if we can utilize it a bit better. As to the bold name, originally I envisioned this:
And you can see the lettering is significantly thicker than what we have now (which I also like)--but I don't know if it works with the rest of the cover.
