FREE book alert #freebiefriday #fridayreads

Hey there! Kory here. I'm eagerly anticipating the release of my 7th novel, Shadows in the Water. Only 18 more days and it will be out in the world, doing its thing.

But before that, I need your help.

Step 1: Download a free copy of Shadows in the Water here.
Step 2: Leave a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads ASAP.

That's all I'm asking.

When you are an indie author like me, reviews are tremendously important. TREMENDOUSLY. I don't have thousands of dollars to sink into marketing budgets, so the only real way for me to sell books is to do what I can to increase discoverability. And the more reviews a book has, the easier it is for other readers to discover it.

Because Shadows is the first book in a new series, reviews are even more important.

That's why I'm giving away a limited number of ARCs (advanced reader copies) of Shadows in the Water in exchange for an honest review.

(Yes, I said limited. Don't dawdle, or faster clickers will beat you to it).

If you want to read Shadows and you're willing to spend the 1-2 minutes it will take to go to Amazon or Goodreads and post a few words about it, you'll have my infinite gratitude. (Ready to do this? Get your FREE ARC here.)

If you read the ARC, enjoyed it, and want to show your enthusiasm, there are other ways you can support the Shadows launch too:

-You can download the book from amazon for just $0.99
(this makes your review a "verified purchase")

-You can use Goodreads to review, shelve or suggest the book to others
-You can alert book bloggers about the impending release
and give them the freebie code/link.
- You can send the book to family, friends, or others
you think might enjoy it

All of these things keep me in the biz and keep me writing. So thank you.
Thank you.

Other great reads

Jordan Amador. 21. New Yorker. Waitress. Mild alcoholic. Murderer.

Two years ago, Jordan accidentally shot and killed a Seer: a person who can see, hear, and talk to ghosts with unfinished business. Her crime came with a hefty price, too. She has two years to help a hundred souls cross over to the afterlife or her soul is bound for hell. Tough break.

As if that weren’t bad enough, two days before her deadline a handsome pain-in-the-ass poltergeist named Michael strolls into her life. His soul is the key to her salvation, but the cost just might be more than she can handle. Solving his death puts her right in the crosshairs of Belial: a vain, bloodthirsty archdemon who won’t rest until she’s his slave. Can she rescue Michael and save her own soul, or will they both be dragged down into the clutches of the eternal black parade?

Good girls go to Heaven. Bad girls go all the way...

What can be worse than electrocuting yourself while getting ready for your Internet date? Realizing the hot stud you’ve been fondling is the Grim Reaper? Being chased by a sex-crazed bloated, naked corpse?

How about an eternity of more bad hair days and horrific dates? Or lusting after the one guy in all the afterlife whose hydrophobia rivals his fear of commitment?

Yeah, that’s a whole lot worse.

As a woman in a man’s world, firefighter, Abrihet has always had to push just a little bit harder, prove just a little bit more. But her special gifts don’t make that any easier. Fire isn’t something she fights, it’s something she controls. And that’s a secret that she doesn’t want getting out. However, when a routine rescue goes south quickly, and Abrihet is literally pulled from the flames into hell, she has no choice but to accept the hand she’s been dealt.

As the heir to the throne of Wraith, Fire Demon Bael was raised to hate Nefas—half-demon, half-human hybrids. But when he’s sent to watch and pass judgment on the daughter of one of his Enforcers, he finds something wholly unexpected. She’s not an abomination. Actually, she might just be his salvation. The challenge will be getting her to accept him and his ways, because as the heir, his world is darker than most.

Despite the odds stacked against them and the unusual circumstances of their meeting, Bael and Abrihet must learn to trust each other and work together. If they don’t, it could mean death for one or both of them. Luckily, their connection is strong, and attraction burns bright. But is the light they share something they can use to fight those who oppose them, or will it consume them both?

Paranormal Romance with Fire Demons.

Justice Labelle always had her life perfectly planned. Her goals were to graduate from University and get into law school. Then one day, Justice tried to kill herself. Well, not her technically. It may have been her body, but those actions weren't intentional and the suicidal thoughts were not hers. Or, so she keeps telling her therapist and family. Justice is afraid she’s losing her mind and just wants to forget everything. But when her best friend is murdered, another one is being mind-screwed by a Vampyre, and her ex is back in town, looking as scrumptious as ever and very suspicious, maybe she isn't all that crazy!
